"I have known Marc for close to thirty years now. He's an inventive problem-solver and a versatile role-player. He is also an excellent teammate for his fellow players, with a good eye for detail, a solid understanding of the rules for the game being played, a terrific sense of humour, and a supportive attitude for newbies (his background as a teacher really shines here).

He is also very creative as a game designer. I've seen him both come up with house rules for a variety of published games and collaborate with another friend to design their own TTRPG. As an entrepreneur I watched him successfully create a woodworking business building wasters (wooden practice swords) and longbows, run a Renaissance Faire, and teach archery. He's organized, communicative, attentive, team-oriented, honest, and punctual."

Archery

I've been learning archery from Marc since the very beginning of my archery career, and his comprehensive skill as an instructor is truly remarkable. He's not just taught me how to shoot, but also given me an appreciation for the art and mechanics of archery. Marc's teaching has been instrumental in shaping my entire archery journey, from shooting to arrow crafting.

Personalized Archery Instruction in New Hampshire

Tailored , professional archery instruction—designed around you.

At Wolf Crest Games, we offer beginner and specialized archery programs in New Hampshire that go far beyond a typical one-size-fits-all class. Led by Marc, a lifelong archer, certified educator, and experienced bowyer, these lessons are tailored to the individual—whether you're exploring archery for the first time or looking to deepen your practice with traditional or historical techniques.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience in traditional, primitive, and historical archery styles, Marc combines a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in exercise physiology and kinesiology with practical coaching expertise. Each session focuses on helping you build proper form, avoid common pitfalls, and gain a better understanding of how your body, your bow, and your goals all work together.

For beginners, the biggest challenge is often navigating the various equipment and techniques without guidance. Incompatible gear and bad habits can quickly lead to frustration. Our coaching eliminates that guesswork—giving you clear, professional insight and personalized support every step of the way.

Whether you’re curious about picking up a bow or want to take your skills further, our Wolf Crest Archery programs provide a foundation you can grow on—with instruction that meets you where you are.

Hi, I’m Marc—founder of Wolf Crest Games, LLC.

Wolf Crest Games was born out of my lifelong love of tabletop games and a desire to share that excitement with others in a space that’s welcoming, inclusive, and easy to access. After attending gaming conventions across the region, I realized there was a gap in New Hampshire—especially during the summer months when opportunities to gather and play were scarce. That’s when the idea took root: create a space right here in the Granite State where gamers could connect, discover new favorites, and build lasting communities.

At Wolf Crest Games, we host family-friendly tabletop gaming events and beginner-friendly archery programs—two recreational passions I’ve been involved in for years, both as a player and as a teacher. While not directly combined, they share a common spirit: hands-on engagement, friendly challenge, and a sense of shared discovery.

What we offer isn’t just events—it’s access.

Access to over 400 unique board games to explore.
Access to a growing community of players across Central New England.
Access to a sport like archery, in a safe, supportive, and beginner-focused environment.

Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned enthusiast, my goal is simple: to provide you with the space, tools, and people to make your next adventure—on the table or on the range—something to remember.

I welcome you to Wolf Crest Games.

— Marc

Frequently Asked Questions

Game Cons

  1. I’ve never played a board game before. Is this for me?
If you’re interested in trying games, it is! Modern games are not like the games most of us are familiar with with. There are cooperative games (the players work together to win objectives) so if you aren’t a competitive person these are right up your alley. There are competitive games without a, “take that” aspect. These are often termed Eurogames, and they allow people to focus on their own strategies without feeling the need to work against the other players or that the others will actively try to derail their strategy. There are straight up competitive games which allow head to head strategies and tactics where players try to win while actively preventing the other players from meeting their objectives.

  2. Do I need to bring my own board games?
You're welcome to bring games from your personal collection to share, but it’s completely optional. Numbered tables will be available for attendees who’d like to offer their games for open play. Feel free to grab one of your own, borrow a game from the shared table, or join a group at an open seat—it’s all about finding fun and connecting with fellow gamers.

  3. Can I come alone, or is it groups only?
Come alone and meet people to play with. There will be “Players Wanted” and “Teachers Wanted” cards to put on the table you are at and there will be a, "Would Like to Join a Game" table with seating.

  4. Where are your events held?
The game con is at 1 Alumni Drive, Hampton, NH 9 am -9 pm.

  5. How do I get my badge?
Bring your ticket receipt from Square either printed, or on your device to claim your badge(s) at the registration desk.

  6. If I am purchasing a badge at the door what forms of payment do you accept?
We will accept cash or credit/debit cards using Square at the door. Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle are not accepted at this event.

  7. Is there a minimum age for attending?
While there is no minimum age. All attendees between the ages of 13 - 17 must have a guardian at the event, attendees under the age of 13 must remain with a guardian for the duration of the event. No exceptions.

  8. Is there a fee for parking?
Parking is free and there is plenty of space.

  9. Can I bring my own food/drink?
You may bring your own food and drink. There will be designated areas for eating. Food is not allowed at the gaming tables. Alcohol and other substances are NOT permitted at this event.

  10. Will there be panels or speakers?
No panels or speakers are planned for this inaugural year, but we are open to having them this year or in the future. Please email us at WolfCrestGameCon@gmail.com if you are interested in running a panel or presenting.

  11. Will there be vendors present?
At this time we are looking into inviting a few vendors to attend. Please email us at WolfCrestGameCon@gmail.com if you are interested in vending. An application is in the works.

  12. If I cannot attend will I be allowed to transfer my ticket to someone else?
You may transfer your ticket up to 1 weeks before the event. Please email us at WolfCrestGameCon@gmail.com if the need arises.

  13. Are the tables wheelchair accessible?
There are tables with built in seating, and tables with standard chairs that can be moved for access, and if you have special seating that you would like to bring, feel free.

Archery

  1. Is archery safe for kids or beginners?
Yes! Archery is safe when the participants follow basic safety rules and listen to their instructors/referees.

  2. I’ve never done archery before. Is this for me?
Nearly anyone can do archery of some sort. The biggest frustration for most aspiring archers is not having the correct equipment set. Gear does not need to be expensive, but there should be a focus for the archer to prevent having to purchase new gear too quickly.

  3. Do I need to bring my own Archery Equipment?
Basic archery equipment is supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own so we can look at what you have and I can tailor the instruction to your style and gear. I have many different styles of gear for people to try before they decide what is right for them esthetically and physically.

  4. Can I come alone, or are classes groups only?
Classes can be done privately or in small groups.

  5. Where are your events held?
They can be held at the client’s property (space permitting, at a local archery club (membership or day passes may be required), or in Rochester, NH either at my range or in the local club.

  6. How much do lessons cost?
Pricing varies* depending on the type of lesson and individual needs. Private instruction starts at $40 per session when using your own equipment. Group lessons are available at $30 per person, per session—for example, a group of five would be $150 for the lesson.
